4) What happens to the images I have hosted at YardSaleNet.net and my Featured Ad Credits if my Premium Membership expires?
All of your images will remain in our system for 30 days after your Premium Membership expires, however, they will be deactivated and will appear as broken images when trying to access them. You will not be able to upload new images or modify existing images. If you renew your Premium Membership before or up to 30 days after expiration, all of your images will be reactivated and you may again upload new images and modify existing images. Your Featured Ad Credits never expire even if your Premium Membership expires.

3) How do I log out of YardSaleNet.net?
When logged in to the system, the tool bar located at the top of every page will contain a "logout" link. Click on the logout link. Logging out will remove all session cookies, securing your account information until the next time you log in.

4) What if I forgot my User Name?
Since you can use your User Name or email address when logging in, this should not be a problem. Once you log in using your email address, access your Account Info page and you will see what your User Name is.

5) What if I forgot my Password?
If you forgot your password, you have the option of having your password sent to your email address. To do this, click the login button on the tool bar located at the top of every page and then click on the "Forgot Password?" button.

6) What if I no longer have the same email address I used when I signed up?
Please login to your account and change your email address by accessing your account information and making changes. If you have forgotten your password and no longer have the same email address when you signed up for YardSaleNet.net, please contact support@yardsalenet.net and tell us your old email address, First and Last Name, Address and phone number and we will try to match up your records. We will then delete that account and for security reasons, have you reregister for the service.

The numbers in parenthesis next to the category name tell how many ads have been posted in that category.

1) How do I search for an item on YardSaleNet.net?
Every page on YardSaleNet.net has a search box for easy access to quick searches of the classified ad database. Simply type in a few keywords and click the search button. The classified ad database will return all the ads that have the keywords that you typed in.

2) What if I want to narrow my search even further?
We also offer an advanced search option. Click the advanced search link located under the search button on all the pages at YardSaleNet.net. You will have a number of different search options to more adequately target ads that you really want to find.

1) How do I tell how much an item costs?
When you find an item you want to buy, either by searching or browsing, click on the items' title to get the full description. There are two fields that you will want to pay attention in order to get the full price of the item. First, look at the "Estimated Price" box. This box will either have a price, "Best Offer", Free ($0.00), or a price and "OBO" meaning "Or Best Offer." Also look at the shipping costs and add that to the estimated price to get the full price.

2) What do I do when I want to make a purchase from a member?

3) What is the easiest way to pay for an item I want to purchase from a member?
There are a number of ways to pay for an item. The easiest way is to use a completely free service called PayPal, which lets anyone accept credit cards. Members also accept checks, money orders, trade-ins, etc. Please make sure you carefully view the "Payment Options" field of the item's description.

4) Does YardSaleNet.net accept payments for items I purchase from other members?
No. Please DO NOT send payments for items you are purchasing using the service to YardSaleNet.net YardSaleNet.net does not act as an escrow service.

5) What happens if I pay for an item but never receive it?
There are a number of things you can do if you pay for an item but do not receive it. If paying by credit card, you can dispute the charge with your credit card company. If you sent a check or money order, you may want to make sure that the check or money order was actually received by that person. Many times, items get lost in the mail. Please contact the seller to make sure this isn't the case. If you have done all of the above, but still paid for an item and never received it, please contact support@yardsalenet.net and we may take action against the selling member. Also make sure to leave a bad rating for that member, warning other members to stay away.

6) What happens if I want to return an item that I bought from a user of YardSaleNet.net?
Before you purchase an item, make sure you are clear on the seller's return policy. Contact that seller to arrange a return.

7) Does YardSaleNet.net offer any guarantee on items I purchase from other members?
YardSaleNet.net DOES NOT offer any guarantees for items that are purchased using our service. We have implemented a rating system to help our members to make good judgment with regards to purchases and dealings with other members. Make sure to always do your homework when making a purchase.

It is completely FREE to list and sell items on YardSaleNet.net. You will never be charged a fee to post an item or charged a transaction fee when you buy or sell an item. We do offer, however, the opportunity for members to post an ad in a featured section of YardSaleNet.net for a reasonabe fee.

The easiest way to receive payments is to be able to accept credit card payments using PayPal. They only charge a small percentage for payments received and no fees for sending payments.

1) What is the Ad Manager?
The "Ad Manger" is the place where you can view, modify, delete, and renew the classified ads you currently have posted on YardSaleNet.net.

2) How is the ad manager used?
The Ad Manger has a list of all your currently posted classifieds. If you want to modify an ad, click on the "Modify Ad" link located under the Expiration Date under your ad. If you want to keep the ad the way it is, make sure the "Keep Status of Item" radio button is selected under your ad. If you want to delete an ad, select the "Delete Ad" radio button under your ad. If you want to renew your ad for 14 days from the current date, select the "Renew Ad for 14 days" radio button. When you have selected all the options you want applied to each of your ads, click the "Updated Listings" button at the bottom of the Ad Manager page. You may also renew all your ads at once by clicking the "Renew All Ads at Once" button!

1) What is the Image Manager?
The Image Manger, accessed from your "My Account" page, is a feature available to Premium Members which allows you to host images with YardSaleNet.net so that they can be used in your ads, on your Web site, or on other classified ad and auction Web sites.

2) How is the Image Manager Used?
Access the Image Manager by clicking on the "Image Manager" button from your "My Account" page. Next, you will see options to view existing images or upload a new image. You may view the full sized image by clicking on the "View Full" link. You may also modify or delete the image by clicking on the appropriate link.

3) How do I upload an image to the Image Manager?
You may upload a new image by clicking on the "Upload New Image" link. You will need to type a name for your image, optionally a description of the image and then click the browse button. You will be prompted to browse your computer and select a image. An image normally ends in .jpg, .gif or .png. After you choose your image click the "Upload New Image" button. If your image was a .jpg or .png, the Image Manager will automatically create a small thumbnail version which you can use as a guide when browsing for your images.

4) How do I use an image I have uploaded on YardSaleNet.net?
When you post an ad at YardSaleNet.net or modify an existing ad, you will have the option to insert an image. After clicking on the "Insert Image" link, the Image Manager will open in a new window allowing you to select which image you want to use. Click on the "Use Image" option and it will be inserted into your ad.

5) How do I use an image I have uploaded on my own Web site or on another classified or auction site?
To use an image hosted at YardSaleNet.net, use the Image Manager to find the image you want to be displayed on another Web site. Once you find the image, you will see a string of text at the bottom of the image that looks something like:
URL: http://images.yardsalenet.net/?imageid=14. This is the URL to the image. You may copy the URL option which in the above example would be "http://images.yardsalenet.net/?imageid=14" and paste that URL into the appropriate place at another classified or auction Web site. If you are using it on your own Web page with HTML coding, the URL portion would appear in the image source tag.

Member ratings is a system put in place by YardSaleNet.net to help members decide who are honest people to deal with and who should not be dealt with. It can be used as a sort of security measure for our members.

2) How do the ratings work?
When a transaction takes place between members, those involved are encouraged to rate each other on the process of the transaction. For more information, click on the "Member Ratings" link located on the side bar of every page at YardSaleNet.net.

3) How are the ratings calculated?
You can see how the ratings are formulated by visiting the Rating Formula page in the help section.

4) How can I find out what my rating is?
The easiest way to find out your rating is to login to your account and click on the ratings button. Here you will see a breakdown of the ratings left for you by all users as well as a tally of the ratings left for you by unique users.

5) How can I tell what another member's rating is?
To inquire about another user's ratings, click on the "Member Ratings" link located on the side bar of every page at YardSaleNet.net and then click on the "See a Member's Rating" link located at the top of that page. Also, when browsing the description of an item posted at YardSaleNet.net, you can find out what the seller's rating is by clicking on the seller's name.

6) How do I rate another member?
When you have completed a transaction with a member, you can rate them by clicking on the "Member Ratings" link located on the side bar of every page at YardSaleNet.net and then click on the "Rate a Member" link. Type in that member's User Name and then give a rating according to the experience with that user. You can also leave a brief comment about that member for other YardSaleNet.net users to read.

7) Can I rate myself?
YES! We feel rating yourself is very important. It shows other members that you care what they think about you and helps build your confidence. Just remember that only the first rating you give yourself will count towards your Overall Unique Rating.

1) How do I get my ad featured in the Featured Section and on the Home Page at YardSaleNet.net?
You may purchase featured ad credits and then use them to feature an ad you have already posted at YardSaleNet.net. Each Featured Ad Credit allows you to feature your ad in the Featured Section at YardSaleNet.net for a period of 30 days, which also gets rotated on the home page.

2) How do I get Featured Ad Credits?

3) I have Featured Ad Credits. How do I use them?
Once you have acquired Featured Ad Credits, choose an ad you wish to have featured, view the ad, then click on the "Feature" link located on your toolbar right above your ad. You will be asked to confirm the featuring of this ad.

4) Do Featured Ad Credits expire?
Featured Ad Credits never expire, even if you received them as part of a Premium Membership subscription and your subscription has expired.
